Have you ever had a friend or family member who just constantly and consistently lets you down? Proverbs 13:12 talks about the effects of hope being deferred, drawn out, or delayed – it makes us heartsick! We even tell folks, “don’t get my hopes up!” Compare that to someone who just always seems to come through for you. They can be counted on and have proven themselves dependable. When it comes to our walk with God, are we the flakey friend or the dependable one?
