Discipleship is HUGE for The Church in young students today.
Matthew 28:18-20 "Jesus came and told His disciples,
“I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
In Acts 1:8 Jesus said, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
How can we be His witnesses, if we do not do as He did?
Students need Biblical guidance and care as they navigate life.
Torch Discipleship is designed to help students understand who
God is, His Word, and how to make it applicable in their own personal walk with Him. Torch goes a step further and puts students right in the mix of ministry magic. Students will serve in Children's Ministry once a month with supervision, to help cultivate a long lasting love for God and His Church.

Jacob Sombrito has been serving at Candlewood Church for many years and we are so blessed to have them be a part of Candlewood Kids/Candlewood Youth Ministries! Jacob has been on Youth Leadership, Candlewood Kids Leadership, Events Leadership and more for 9 years. He is an amazing dad to 3 beautiful children: Marty, Maggie, & Mollie, and has a HUGE heart for Middle Schoolers!
